A tidal wading pool, Wynnum Wading Pool, stands within the park to the south of Wynnum Jetty. The pool fills at high tide and seawater is retained by closing valves along the sea-wall. A large sandstone monument accommodating three drinking fountains stands west of the Jetty. The monument is a memorial to W.H. Barnes, M.L.A., a former State.
