Leave a 3 inch hole for turning. Backstitch when you start and when you stop and pivot at the corners. Trim the corners to reduce the bulk when you turn it right side out. Turn the bowl cozy right side out. Poke out the corners with a point turner. Edgestitch the hole closed and all the way around. Press the edges flat.

If you prefer to cut your own batting, we recommend The Gypsy Quilter cotton batting (TGQHECB12 or TGQHECB18) which is microwave safe. Choose either the rounded bowl cozy option or the squared bowl cozy option and cut out the pattern piece. For rounded cozy, print pages 1-2 and 4-5.. Using the pattern piece as a template, trace the dart markings onto the batting side using a wash away pen/marking tool. Mark the outside two edges of one dart with a pin. Match the two pins.
